Stainless Seel Translation Stage with Electrical Coil

This is a small stainless steel single-axis linear translation stage. It appears to be custom made, but the machining is superb, as is the condition. The upright is fixed to the base (it does not move with the platform) and it carries what appears to be a small coil with a BNC connector. The coil is offset by about 10mm to one side. The centerline of the coil bore is 2.25 inches above the translation platform. Bore diameter is approximately 37mm.

1-inch travel Starrett micrometer reading to 0.001 inches
Platform dimensions � 3 inches long by 3.375 inches wide.
The platform runs on two 0.500 inch rods using recirculating ball bearings. The platform is captive to the micrometer spindle using a strong magnet.
