Scienscope Ringlight Illuminator – 58 inch

Description

This is a Scienscope fiber optic ringlight illuminator. The bundle is armored and vinyl clad. This version of the ringlight uses a 58 inch bundle.

The input ferrule is 0.620 inches in diameter, and 0.525 inches long. There are a couple of additional flats milled into the outer portion of the ferrule.

The ringlight has an external diameter of 3.187 inches with a step down to an externally threaded ring 60mm in diameter (not sure of the thread pitch). The height of the ringlight including the threaded portion is 1.057 inches. The larger internal bore of the ringlight is 2.300 inches, stepping down to 2.000 inches. The ringlight is secured using three small knurled thumb screws.

This is the later version of the ringlight (earlier versions did not have the cladding, and the earliest versions were smaller in dimension). Condition is excellent, although there might be some residue of solder flux here and there on the cladding. The bundles have no drop-out fibers.
