The ‘M’-series of Newport objectives are essentially conventional microscope objectives that have been requantified in terms of their performance as imaging elements in spatial filters. They are high-quality achromats of short adjustment length (37mm), with standard RMS mounting threads. They are anti-reflection coated for the visible region of the spectrum, and corrected for an optimal 160mm rear conjugate.
