W 8x Microscope Ocular Pair, Exc
This is an excellent condition pair of 8x microscope oculars from the Japanese manufacturer Unitron. They are engraved ‘W 8x’ and feature a wide field of view with a relatively high eyepoint. They fit the normal 23.2mm diameter eyepiece tubes. The upper eyelenses are fixed and these are not designed to accept micrometer reticles. It should be noted that Unitron microscope oculars are not suitable for use with their telescopes.
The eyepieces are in excellent condition � there is very little wear to the black lacquer of the front bezels. One of the oculars has some abrasions to the chrome tube (see photo). The glass is in perfect condition and has MgFl coatings.

The model 89 is a precision mounting base designed to accommodate almost all Brunson 2.25″ diameter alignment telescopes and collimators . The instrument is supported by two wyes which are 8.375 (212.7mm) on center, and are mounted to a channel-sectioned bar. The wyes provide stable support of the instrument barrel.
Precise rotation in a horizontal plane is controlled by the patented Brunson ball bearing spindle, similar to that of all Brunson transits. The mounting base has a standard 3.50″-8 internal thread for attachment to any compatible optical tooling stand. A fine motion tangent screw allows easy azimuth control, and incorporates a wobble pin for tension relief and a stable setup. Four large-headed leveling screws in nylon bushings make tilt adjustment easy.
Note: The original Brunson 89 had a wye spacing of 9.50″, but was modified for the somewhat smaller spacing of 8.375″ in order to fit all of the K+E design alignment telescopes.

This Beck objective is marked only with its focal length (50mm) and the numerical aperture (0.08). The objective was intended for use on long focal length microscopes or telescopes. The thread is standard RMS. Objective aperture is approximately 13mm.
The lens is in excellent condition (no flaws visible in the glass) and comes in a Cooke, Troughton & Simms capsule. These objectives were often employed in cathetometers and coordinate measuring instruments.

Microscope Ocular Tube Focusing Telescope
This appears to be a generic copy (albeit a very good one) of the American Optical type 1265 phase focusing telescope. It is identical in form and function, missing only the identifying catalog number and manufacturer’s markings. The focusing telescopes work very nicely (focusing is via a sleeve mount) and are capable of imaging objects anywhere from 120mm away to infinity.
These focusing telescopes are new and unused inventory, however they do not include the original packaging. Phase telescopes are typically used to align phase rings for phase contrast work, as well as checking the alignment of lamp filaments by observing the exit pupil of the objective.

This Space Technology Laboratories Ritchey-Chretien telescope is in fair cosmetic condition with some rust and marks. The smaller mirror also appears to have some scuffs on it that do not appear to be scratches.

Leitz Retroreflector Right-Angle Prism
This is a rare item. It is a Leitz right-angle prism for use with autocollimators and alignment telescopes. It consists of a beam-splitter mounted on a cast pillar. The beam-splitter is arranged so the incident beam strikes the prism interface and is deflected downwards where a retro-reflector is cemented. The upper surface of the prism (opposite the retro-reflector) is open. Presumably this device aids in making a reference plane above the prism parallel with the base of the prism mount while still being able to check orthogonality with a vertical reference plane..
I was unable to find out any specifications on the item, but Leitz metrology equipment is rated with the very best. The instrument is in excellent condition, but does not include a cabinet (there is a protective paper sleeve for the prism, however).
