Rodenstock 127mm Ysaron 1 : 4,7 in Prontor
This is a very nice Rodenstock Ysaron 127mm photographic lens mounted in an 82mm square lens board as supplied with the Polaroid MP-3 process camera systems. The shutter is a German Prontor Press type #1 rim-set shutter, with speeds ranging from 1 second to 1/125 second plus ‘B; There are two cable release bosses. One will operate the shutter using the built-in timing mechanism, the other will open the leaves for photo composition. The shutter is self-cocking. Also built into the shutter is an iris diaphragm that is graduated from f 4.7 to f 45. All functions of the shutter work flawlessly – no hiccups on any of the slow speeds so often found on Prontor shutters after this length of time.
The lens is also in perfect optical condition – no flaws in the coatings, and no trace of separation in the elements. Serial number of the lens is 6 036 253. the lens board could pass for unused – just a couple of tiny nicks in the shutter retaining ring on the back (see photos).

Polaroid MP-4 Copal Rim-Set Shutter in Mount,
This is a Copal number 1 shutter that is mounted on a circular plastic lens board that is marked for the MP-4 camera system. The periphery of the lens board is graduated from f 4.5 to f 32 with a lever that actuates a pin protruding from the rear of the lens board. The shutter does not have an aperture diaphragm � the pin appears to actuate a diaphragm located externally to the shutter, possibly within the lens, which is absent.
Like most Copal Press rim-set shutters, all speeds including the slow-speeds run by the governor escapement still function perfectly. The shutter may be tripped either by a built-in release on the side of the shutter or by using a cable release (not included). The boss for the cable release has been reinforced with some sort of epoxy.
The shutter is in excellent condition but the lens board nomenclature is printed on a thin piece of plastic which is pulling away from the lens board on the edge. Speeds include from 1 second to 1/125 second. A second lever on the side of the shutter opens the leaves manually.

US Laser First-Pulse Shutter, Integrated Safety
This is a US Laser standard optical bench carrier with three integrated components installed. There is no �type� label on the bottom of the carrier, but the components are similar in function to those of another carrier we have in inventory.
The first component is a �First Pulse Shutter� assembly similar to the one labeled �type 1031-2� on a different carrier. However it has been fully integrated with the other two components which include a safety shutter and a front mirror kinemetric mount.
Both shutters appear to be �gravity fail-safe� type rotary solenoids � if the solenoid loses power, the shutter flags automatically drop closed There is a warning light for safety shutter position indication. Shutter controller is not provided.
The kinemetric mount includes a standard US Laser R=90% at 1064nm mirror, part number USL 3403. Coating appears to be in perfect condition. Overall condition looks near-perfect. The only think I noted is that the beveled cowling for the laser beam baffle has broken away from the front of the carrier. This is an easily replaced component should it be deemed needed..
